I’ve seen a couple of websites around that are related to PS3 Dynamic themes.
But none seem to be updated with any regular frequency.
So, yesterday I took the plunge and bought a new domain and started work.
Thanks to Symonator for the hosting.
I will hopefully end up buying all the theme’s (I’m missing just one, and I need a Japanese store account for that), and showing them to you, just so you can decide on whether or not to buy it.
You can post comments without the need to register, there’s a strong spam filter, so no attempting to sell viagra or penis enlargement crap either.

Gravity Crash PS3 PSN gameplay HD Video, you know you’ll always get good quality HD gameplay video from me.

So far the game is great, it’s challenging, but not in an impossible way.
You can do as I did and clear the level completely or you can just run through the levels doing the objectives.
It does get harder, but the early missions are just training for this, and you’ll need it.

Did you like Moon Lander in the 80’s? Then I think you’ll like this.

LONDON – 19th November 2009: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) further expanded its PlayStation® entertainment experience today with the launch of the PlayStation®Network video delivery service for Europe. Now available in France, Germany, Spain and the UK, with other countries to follow in 2010, the service allows film fans to download hundreds of movies, including the latest releases, straight to their PlayStation®3 (PS3™) and PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable).

More than 2,000 movies are available across the stores to rent (from €1.99) or to buy (from €7.99), many in High Definition* (HD) as well as Standard Definition (SD), from major movie studios including 20th Century Fox, The Walt Disney Company1, Lionsgate2, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. The video delivery service will be fully integrated within the PlayStation Network, using the same log-in, wallet system and user-interface. Modern warfare 2 First ever game video HD

I dont know about you, but I was there at 00:01 hours and bought MW2.
I had some expectations like everyone else,
but unlike everyone else, I can record in HD.
So here’s my first ever gameplay vid.
It does play very much like COD4,
but the weapons and ranking up,
getting killstreaks,
and all the various unlocks are absolutely perfect.

I know for a fact that I’m seriously looking forward to this game, I’m trying not to get caught up in the hype, but it’s hard when the gameplay looks this good.
I’ve compiled a playlist and will add more video’s as they appear.
So far we have the squad story trailer one and two, and two gameplay videos, and despite my fears that DICE might release video based on the much more powerful PC version, they have’nt, they’ve resisted the temptation. One video here is from the xbox 360 version, and WOW, I can only imagine how the PC will look if the xbox is this good.

Modern warfare Airport Massacre scene in HD

You can now see the infamous scene in HD thanks to one of our members. Is it controversial?
As you’ll see, you play an undercover special agent, who is teamed up with some Russian bad guys.
Your job is to infiltrate and help them to assasinate several hundred innocent civilians getting ready to fly off on their holidays.
Activision have made is so you can choose to play or not to play this level, without affecting the outcome of the game.
Still damned contraversial if you ask me.
The video does work, I promise you, there is a black screen for 18 second.

Xbox Left 4 Dead Demo with HD video.

I won a code for this, courtesy Consolemonster.com, and having never played any previous incarnation, I did’nt know what to expect.
Turns out it’s pretty good and I’ve missed some great games. Ah well.
So anyways, I booted up the game, and got cracking, and first impressions are that there’s plenty of meat on this game, with a load of different game types.
There’s:
1. Singleplayer
2. Campaign – Online with friends
3. Survival – Not in the demo
4. Realism – Not in the demo
5. Verus – Not in the demo
6. Survival – Not in the demo
7. Scavenge – Not in the demo

So the full game looks like it’ll keep you busy for a while, but this of course is a demo.
I played the first two levels before getting interrupted, (life has a way of doing that), and played like I would play Call of Duty ie, like Rambo, and apparently, this is how you’re not supposed to play it, still, it worked.
I’m not sure if I like the ammo count, you dont seem to ever run out, but it’s an arcade game after all, but health is a different matter, you have to find health packs, injectors, and painkillers. The weapons are pretty decent too, but for me it’s the melee weapons, and man, did I love the frying pan or what?
I just loved smashing zombie heads, and there’s a lot of heads that need attention. It also has some genuinely scarey moments, and some that will have you screaming, (play with the lights off for full effect!!)
I have to say, it’s probably not my type of game, I like a bit more strategy, and the trip wire gameplay is’nt a favourite either, it’s just too damn scripted. Still, for some reason I found my self playing it again today, and probaly tomorrow too.
I loved Zombie Apocalype, and a lot of people have said it’s a cheap ripoff of L4D, I dont see it, it’s a different type of gameplay alltogether. But both games have their merrits. And both will keep you busy for a while, but I think L4D will keep you busy for longer.

NaughtyDog Ignoring the community

Massive Uncharted 2 multiplayer lobby delay!
I’ve heard from the early beta testers that this problem was mentioned and despite a lot of complaining, NaughtyDog decided to ignore the community.
Now the game is out and has been for a couple of weeks, people are starting to complain about the enormous delays that you have getting a game, AND then when the round is over, you have it all to do again.
Well, I find it totally unacceptable in this day and age, I mean, WTF was the point in beta testing it, if the testers were ignored?
No idea what I’m on about?
I played 2 games, and I got this playlist to show you. The playlist length is nearly 7 minutes. 7 minutes to play 2 rounds is appalling.

New PS3 Dynamic Theme

Motorstorm Arctic Edge.
It’s only available in the EU (for now anyway) and best yet…. It’s FREE!
Just goes to show that Dynamic Themes for the PS3 are a great marketing tool.
All we need now is a Dynamic theme creator.
Is anyone else looking forward to seeing the game on the PSP?

Zombie Apocalype Game Info, and trophies

After playing the Multiplayer version (video’s below), and getting into the game, I thought I’d share the info’s.
Multiplayer supports upto 4 players online and local. There is a problem with this apperently though as it causes the ps3 to crash, and the only way to recover is to switch off at the back and reboot.
There’s also several game different game modes, including regular zombiefest, chainsaw, blackout, and “7 days of hell”.
The last 3 need to be unlocked during gameplay, and the last is unlocked only when you reach day 55, and it’s not going to be easy. But as soon as I’ve done it, I’ll upload the video.
Trophies:
Anniversary of the Dead
Complete the Final Day, in either Single or Multiplayer, and finish the game

A Week to Live
Complete 7 days in any game mode without dying

Friends in Low Places
Save 25 survivors in any game mode

Hotter than Hell
Complete the final day of the “7 Days of Hell” unlockable mode

Interior Decorator
Kill 25 zombies in any game mode using environmental hazards

Can’t Touch This
